Jurian Snijders founded FIZ in order to excel in the financing and insolvency practice, together with his partners and staff members. At this Rotterdam firm he brought together all the expertise required to assist clients in the field of financing throughout their operational chain.
After graduating in civil law at the University of Leiden, Jurian has worked in the financing, insolvency and security practice since 2002. In 2007, he specialised by successfully completing the Grotius Structured Finance Course. He gained broad practical experience as a lawyer at AKD by focusing within the Corporate Law practice group on financing, security, insolvency, officers’ and directors’ liability and litigation.
Jurian likes to thoroughly analyse his clients’ problems and reduce them to legal proportions in order to clearly explain the situation to them. He helps to devise both legal and strategic solutions, chooses the language and tone best suited to the case and personally commits himself to the outcome.
Jurian is pre-eminently a man of content. Things should not be done in the way they are always done, but in the way he considers best after carefully studying the case. He closely follows the latest developments and regularly publishes in the fields of insolvency law, financial law and general property law.
