Jochen Prinsen joined FIZ advocaten in 2025, bringing over 20 years of combined legal, financial, and banking experience. His career spans 8 years as a lawyer at Allen & Overy, 13 years as corporate banker and restructuring specialist at Rabobank, and most recently as founder of Onkaa.

He is known for his integrated approach: connecting legal precision with financial and strategic insight. Jochen has guided numerous companies through growth, transformation, and financial distress—supporting restructurings, refinancings, and sustainable restarts.

His expertise spans not only restructuring and strategy, but also structuring and negotiation of comprehensive financing arrangements, with in-depth knowledge of Loan Market Association (LMA) standards. By combining legal precision with practical commercial and banking insight, he has supported countless companies and stakeholders in securing sustainable financing and successful restarts.

Jochen Prinsen has registered the following principal legal practice area in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

-Financial law (financieel recht)
-Insolvency law (insolventierecht)

Based on this registration, he/she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
